RETHINKING REMOTE 2022 CONFERENCE MACDONALD AVIEMORE RESORT

New venue, new date, new focus!

Rethinking Remote 2022 will be our third conference focussing on innovative solutions in remote and rural health and wellbeing.

This event is open to all organisations or individuals (healthcare, emergency services, community, academia, industry and voluntary sector organisations) interested in remote and rural health and wellbeing.

The Conference has five principal themes relevant to remote healthcare supported by a group of international and world-ranking speakers: 

  1. Disaster planning and pandemics

  2. Community engagement

  3. Emergency, management and pre-hospital care

  4. Education and professional support

  5. Technology

 

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS (ORAL/POSTER)

The Rethinking Remote 2022 Conference will have a poster session and three free papers sessions which will include 4 oral presentations in each session, showcasing innovative work around the five themes of the conference. We will be inviting submissions which are examples of research, service development, an international perspective and, multi-agency working. All abstracts that are accepted will entitle the author to register for the conference at the Early Bird discounted rate.

POSTER GUIDANCE

Each poster submission will be scored prior to the event by members of the planning committee. All poster presenters who are asked to display on the day will have their poster automatically entered into the Poster competition.

All delegates at the conference will be encouraged to vote for best poster and there will be a prize for the best poster selected. Please note that there is no scope for late submissions/additional posters being brought on the day.

Within the poster submission registration process you will be asked for the following:

THEME (more than 1 option can be indicated) / BACKGROUND / AIMS / METHODS / OUTCOMES (if applicable) 

There is a limit 300 characters per section

ORAL PRESENTATIONS

If you have indicated that you would like your abstract to be considered for oral presentation in addition to poster display. If your abstract is selected you will be asked to give a brief presentation of your work in one of the ‘free papers’ sessions on Thursday morning or afternoon or Friday morning. There will be a prize awarded for the best oral presentation.

Please note that you will have access to return to your abstract submission to make any amendments/ add in additional information until the abstract closing date.
